As a part of the association activities of CSE & IT Departments, a seminar was held in our college auditorium on 23-01-09.The program started at 10.30 am.
Head of the Department Mrs.Babitha Sujana delivered the welcome address. Our lecturer Mrs. Hima introduced the chief guest to the gathering.
Then came the time of intelligence when our chief guest Dr.Sugumaran Nair gave us a lecture on "Artificial Intelligence". He revealed the fact that intelligence is gained by the frequent usage of knowledge. He also illustrated it with suitable examples. Artificial Intelligence is defined as the ability to recognize and understand the qualities and attributes of the physical world and of mankind. He also explained a simple program used in an automated diagnostic machine. Some of the AI programming languages are LISP, PROLOG...etc.The latest technology is CAPTCHA, which is an AI tool for security.
By 12.30p.m the program came to an end with the vote of thanks by our lecturer Miss.Persis.
The program was really useful since it gave a good knowledge regarding the basis of Artificial Intelligence.
