INNOVATIVE EXHIBITIONS

On the 14th of August 2009, various departments organized exhibitions, which was inaugurated by our Honourable former President Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam. The exhibition by the dept. of Eng. was based on the theme “Theatres down the Ages”. They emphasized on various theatres like Greek theatres, Shakespearian theatres Restoration theatres and Modern theatres. The Maths exhibition was based on “Graph Theory and Number Theory”. Various models, charts and games were displayed giving information about mathematicians. A tree was constructed using the basic mathematical shapes. The history museum consisted of different old things like ancient coins and facts about Tribes of Nilgris and their household articles made by them. The students dressed up with their traditional dress and ornaments and impressed all visitors. Insisting on the National Year of Natural Fibres, the Dept. of Bio-tech., displayed natural and edible fibres obtained from plants, fruits, vegetables and nuts. Fibre products derived from various parts of plant such as jute, hemp, cotton etc. and animal fibres such as wool derived from various animals like sheep, horse, camel along with silks derived from wild and domesticated silkworm were displayed. The exhibition was opened to the students of our college and to all the school students also.
