Kalis Mega Exhibition

Kalis Mega Exhibition was conducted as part of its Decennium Celebrations on 08.01.2010 & 09.01.2010 for the benefit of +1, +2 students and the public. Dr.P.Chelladurai, Director and Coordinator of Youth Welfare Department, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai and Mrs.Vijaya M.A.,M.Ed., District Educational officer, Virudhunagar were the Chief guests.
The objective of the exhibition is to kindle the critical and Scientific thinking of the students so that they can make use of the resources available in India and make India great.
The grave threat to the world ‘Global Warming and its Consequences were exhibited with the various points of view by the department of Biotechnology, Chemistry and Management studies. The Physics Department exhibited charts and models to understand the concepts in their respective subjects easily. The department of IT, BCA and Computer Science focused on Hardware components and its functions, future world of Super Computer and Blue Tooth technology respectively.
The language departments English and Tamil exhibited models on popular literary sense and five kinds of lands respectively. The Astrological wonders like day and night, eclipse, phases of moon and perpetual calendars were exhibited by the Mathematics Department. The department of Management Studies deals with Stress Management and Steps to success. The PG UG Department of Commerce and Commerce (CA) concentrate on Core Banking Service, Banking functions, Internet and building a Safety industry.
On the first day of the exhibition more than a thousand students from as many as fifteen schools in and around Sivakasi visited it. On the Second day more than seven hundred students from fourteen schools turned up with unmistakable enthusiasm. They were very much impressed by the working models, charts, portraits, games and puzzles. In their feed back they said that the Kalis Mega Exhibition was informative, educative and memorable. It helped them to stimulate their logical reasoning. The exhibition was virtually a feast to all their five senses as the department of Hotel Management and Catering Science supplied them with delicious dishes, lunch and snacks at minimum cost with maximum taste. The exhibition was quite modern and innovative and hence a grand success.
