MY PRAYER

Sometimes when I am alone, I can feel your presence. For you are somewhere in me, I can smell your essence. The essence which is deep-rooted in me, In my breath and my soul, I can neither touch you nor behold, Yet, form heart, Almighty, I can call When I pray for mercy drops, Like tempest, showers of blessings you give You inspire my desire, In my heart, you dwell and live This is my prayer to thee. Lord, keep my heart always pure, Punish me for sins, love for nobility, And ills and cunningness if any, you cure. Keep me smiling in happiness or pain And active in sun, mist or rain.
