Sports Zone

The year 2009 opened with the SRM Mens' Basketball team coming third in the Anna University, Zone 4 Finals and the Mens' Kabbadi team bagging the second prize. In individual event, Prithvi of Second year, Electronics and Communication department, won the first prize in Tamil Nadu Open Skating Championship. Interdepartmental basketball and throwball tournament saw the Life Science(girls') department coming first.The girls reached upto the semi finals in Inter college Throwball Championship held in Sairam College recently. The sports year has not ended yet and we can keep our fingers crossed for our young champions to maintain their winning streak.
