Aaruush-The Annual Level Tech-fest of SRM university was held from 9th-12th of September,2009.Aaruush was a congregation of sapients from across the globe. More known for technically challenging events Aaruush also includes a segment of entertainment,which this year was marked by ‘The Laser Show’, which was held at the T. P. Ganesan Auditorium.It attracted over 2000 students. The Laser show was a colorful treat for the eyes. The evening saw a spectacular performance by Russian artists.They danced to the tunes of music thereby making different formations with laser lights.They performed a dance with special effects of Ultra Violet Radiations. There was also a spellbinding performance by Mr. Suresh who holds 20 Guinness World Records in singing, his latest being of singing 100 hours non-stop. The crowds were kept glued to their seats by the exciting games and synchronization of the Dj’s and colorful Laser beams. This event was organized by Beatrix Solutions which is one of the major sponsors of Aaruush 2009. Beatrix Solutions is special to Aaruush also because it marks the entrepreneurship of SRM University’s very own alumni led by Tabish Ashraf. Incidentally, Tabish was the Secretary of Aaruush 2008. Aaruush 2009 is a stepping stone for Tabish’s company as its first major initiative.
