ORGANIZED BY THE NSS UNITS, S.T. HINDU COLLEGE
An awareness programme on encountering and controlling swine flue was organized by the NSS programme officers of S.T. Hindu College, Nagercoil on 21.08.09 at the Prayer Hall. Dr. S. Surendran welcomed the gathering. Prof. Uma Devi explained the importance of the Swine Flu Awareness Programme. The Principal, Dr.A. Meenakshi Sundararajan, inaugurated the programme. Prof.M. Subramoniam Pillai, HOD of English, Prof. Manickavasagam, Librarian felicitated the programme. All the UG and PG students participated in the programme and they were benefited by the powerpoint presentation on “SWINE FLU”. The cause for the fever, symptoms and preventive measures were explained by the NSS programme officers DR. S. Surendran, Dr. Iyyappan, Dr. Padmanabhan, Prof. Umadevi, Dr. Senthamarai Selvi and Prof. K.Thangam. Posters and Banners predicting the symptoms and preventive methods were hung on the main areas of notice board.
